VBVA SPIKEZONE
It’s official, Australia’s first beach volleyball Spikezone has a start date! Commencing on Saturday 1st October 2022, VBVA Spikezone will cater to kids from ages 7 to 10, running in conjunction with our current VBVA junior program, which is year-round… yes, even during the colder months.
VBVA Spikezone is all about fun!
We want your kids to leave the beach having had so much fun, they can’t wait to get back on the sand the following week. From equipment to drills and fun gameplay, VBVA Spikezone is set up to ensure the kids enjoy the learning experience.
For our Spikezone group, kids will play on a condensed 4m x 4m court; half the size of a regular court. The balls we use are smaller in diameter and more cushioned than a traditional beach volleyball. Our drills are almost all game-based, short, fun and subtle in what they’re aiming to achieve.
Whether your child has aspirations to become a future Olympian, or just enjoys the beach volleyball experience, this is the best place for them.
Cost, Schedule and Spikezone membership
In regard to cost, VBVA does not run on a ‘per term’ basis, choosing instead ‘per training’ payments. Our per training cost is $15 – holiday camps vary. Each Spikezone session runs for 1 hour. Spaces are limited, so confirmation of attendance each week is essential.
Our Summer training schedule will be officially announced in the final weeks of September. As a guide, we are likely to offer one weekday afternoon session as well as our regular Saturday training.
Spikezone membership is $30 annually, paid through the Volleyball Victoria payment portal. The link will be here soon. The membership comes with a participant pack, which includes:
Spikezone volleyball
T-shirt and
Draw-string bag (with a ball holder pack).
This membership insures your child during all training sessions with VBVA.
