In what was their first ever outing representing their school, Lucia and Evie won the Year 12 girls division. A great achievement given Evie is currently a year 9 student!
The sisters came through a hard pool without losing a set, before then easily dispatching their semi-final opponents. A somewhat harder final, also won in straight sets, meant an entire tournament without losing a set.
Kay brothers, Will and Sam so easily won their year division, that they were back to compete with the seniors the next day.
A semi-final two year divisions up was a statement of future intent for a pair who, days later, were selected to represent Australia in Thailand.
Finally, one last mention of siblings… Blake and younger brother Dallas – playing up two age divisions – beat almost the entire state U19s team, on their way to losing the Year 12 final.
